Cultural Amnesia - 1983 (K7 to CD) Uncle of the boot

CULTURAL AMNESIA - UNCLE OF BOOT

                    RARE MINIMAL SYNTH TAPE

Catalog # IRON BANANA/NORMAL DATAVERABEITUNG DATA 0019.

I am very excited to present this RARE tape from 1983. This is a REAL HARD FIND...even in the mid 80's when I started collecting this variety of 80's independent wave. This is Minimal synth type post-punk DIY music in the vein of Lemon Kittens meets Soft Cell (Mutant Moments, Science Fiction Story). This tape is quite remarkable because it features a performance track by JOHN BALANCE who supplies the lyrics on a track entitled "Scars for E". This is not the Atonal type early Coil type sound, quite a brilliant release actually that stands on its own. Cultural Amnesia Ben Norland, John Peacock, Gerard Greenway, Alastair all Oundle Boy kids... who were in attendence of the Oundle School live performance by Throbbing Gristle.Aside from
: two school staff, the audience consisted of school boys
: between the ages of 8 and 16
.
..of which the members of Cultural Amnesia were in attendence. In fact thats what got the whole thing rolling including John Balance and his friendship with Peter Christopeherson which coincided with the Oundle performance and video. All of this is documented in the fanzine STABMENTAL written by John Balance dedicated many articles about Lemon Kittens and Cultural Amnesia and of course Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV. This tape is a treasure, I only have this one copy. The tape is tested and works superb. This tape is a must for fans of Coil , Psychic TV , Lemon Kittens , Soft Cell , Death In June , Current 93 , Nature and Organisation , Throbbing Gristle , you know the genre, existential lyrics etc.
